Our Story

Our Story

We met back in 2017, when Boston was a new student at the Australian International School in Singapore and Sophie was a long-time veteran. Boston was shy and quiet, and Sophie… well, she loves to talk, a perfect match from the very beginning. What started as a friendship quickly turned into a date, which just as quickly turned into dating. From day one, we were dreaming up big adventures together such as sailing around the world, working a ski season in Japan, hiking the Italian Dolomites, and so many more. As the years went on, we grew closer and stronger together. Through every stage of life, the highs, the lows, and all the in-betweens, we’ve stood by each other through it all. Whether you’ve known us since the very beginning or joined our story somewhere along the way, we’re so grateful you’re here. Feel free to scroll through and take a little journey through our story.

About a month before our one year anniversary, and almost exactly a year since Boston had asked Soph for a photo together at our first party. This photo was actually taken at Katrina’s request, as she felt there were not enough nice photos of us together.

Boston’s first visit to Ballarat! Katrina, Poppy, Boston and Sophie all jumped in the car to see some fun Christmas lights. And guess who drove? That's right, Sophie did. Safe to say she almost kicked Boston to the curb while driving too. The backseat driver was worse than Poppy!

Schools for Schools Nepal was the first true hiking trip we had ever done together. Safe to say it inspired much of our love for hiking and the outdoors!

The day Sophie finished her Year 12 exams. Better known as freedom! The very next day we started planning our gap year and applying for jobs to work a ski season in Japan.

Some may think of this as Sophie and Boston’s first holiday together. Sophie refers to this trip as Chelsea and Boston’s bonding time, where for the first time Boston experienced what it was like to have an older sister, and what it was like to be the annoying little brother!

Many may know this as Sophie’s 18th birthday, but those who were there know it as the day Boston did not fight the government and cross COVID closed borders between NSW and VIC. However, as usual, Katrina tried to cheer Sophie up with a Ken doll and a printed Boston face attached!

We spent three months at the snow together working as lift operators at Perisher! During this time there were also many firsts, living together, having roommates and working together.

6 weeks driving up the NSW north coast, 8 times putting up the same 3 bedroom tent, 8 fights on the best way to get the tent set up. 20+ different beaches and too many different adventures to count. This road trip was one to remember.

After a long fourteen hour flight to LA, Sophie found some fun tourist activities for us to do! It was fun until we accidentally walked 10km just to get this photo. Boston was tired and unimpressed.

Our first SOLO holiday! That is right, 6 years together and we finally went on an overseas holiday without the Russells, the one and only so far. We spent the week in Fiji relaxing, eating far too much food and swimming.
